RapidGuard has conducted blind lab tests on sample plates and plastic toilet seats with varying percentages of Silver-ion antimicrobial. These tests were carried out at the laboratories of Ciba Speciality Chemicals Plc and the results have proved the very high levels of effectiveness against bacteria. The following charts show results for 2 key bacteria strains; Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and Escherichia Coli (E-Coli).

The percentages of 1, 2 and 3% quoted are percentages of the antimicrobial MasterBatch in the total plastic product.

Please note that the following results are from laboratory tests under controlled conditions. The level of RapidGuard effectivity in the field shall be determined by the following:

· The application, its environment and upkeep

· The dosage of Smart Additives necessary to achieve the requirements of the customer
